About Ixion Innovation

Our mission is to help organisations grow through innovation by providing access to funding, ideas, and expertise

Ixion provides access to funding, ideas, and expertise, helping enterprises grow and delivering benefits to society, the economy and the environment.  The team at Ixion Innovation team has spent the last 20 years winning significant research, development and innovation grant funding for academia, third sector and commercial businesses alike. We have a deep knowledge of key funders and initiatives such as Innovate UK, Horizon Europe, Eureka Eurostars, SBRI, ATI, APC and Newton Fund to name just a few.  Using the same expertise, we can also help you secure private equity investment.

We start with you and your innovation ambitions, identifying how best to use government and private financial support to help you realise your strategic vision. Our team of experienced bid managers, engineers and scientists will then work with you to produce the most compelling, high-quality bid to secure the funds.

We are regarded as one of Europe’s most successful grant acquisition organisations. This was illustrated recently when we secured the number 1 ranked Eureka Eurostars proposal, out of 400 other applications right across Europe. In this same call we achieved an 80% overall success rate for all of our applications.

Ixion Innovation is proud to be a part of the Shaw Trust, the UK’s largest employability charity. Our clients get great satisfaction knowing the surpluses from our work are reinvested in the great societal work performed by Shaw Trust.

The Shaw Trust

Shaw Trust is the UK’s largest charity providing services and support to enable people to access rewarding employment opportunities.

From child to career, we work in service of people with complex needs, breaking down barriers to equal opportunity and providing continuity of support and good help into good work – so that we might all share a more prosperous future.

Having grown from humble beginnings in 1982 in the village of Shaw in Wiltshire, finding jobs for disabled people, today we are a complex and diverse charity committed to employment as the core pathway to a better life. Working in partnership not competition, we are part of an eco-system of over 200 purpose-led organisations, striving for a fairer, more equal society centred on opportunity for all. Shaw Trust was founded on these principles nearly 40 years ago, and for our 3,000 employees and 700 volunteers across the UK, they remain true.

Our co-created services include large scale employability programmes, specialist services for communities, residential care for children, targeted support for young people, on-the-job learning and training and individual guidance and support. Our work is commissioned by government departments, regional and local authorities, the NHS and employers and is delivered through a people centred approach.
